We, the parish community of Our Lady of the Angels, as part of the universal Catholic Church, are answering the call to love and serve one another in this ever changing world. Part of our call is to be a welcoming community of faith that is nourished and sustained through the mystery of the Holy Eucharist and guided by the Holy Spirit. Together, we are called and committed to be active witnesses of God's presence among us by serving others in our parish as well as in the community at large, especially the poor. By continual proclamation of the Gospel and celebration of the Sacraments, we are dedicated to growth in knowledge and faith which will enable us to build a strong foundation for all peoples to experience life to the fullest as Jesus intends.
Our parish has now completed its active campaign to enhance diocesan endowments for various funds and enable our parish to accomplish some needed projects. Sixty percent (60%) of what we have raised will go to the diocesan needs and forty percent (40%) will be returned to OLA over the next four years as pledges are paid.
As of August 25, 2021, we have 246 gifts (plus one donor's employer's matching gift) that total $436,225.94 -- 104% of our goal. This means that $178,906.16 of that total will be coming back to the parish as pledges are paid over the next 4 years -- $167,194.80 of that amount is 40% of the target goal of $417,987 and $10,901.36 is 60% of the amount over our target -- at present we have exceeded our goal by $18,196.94. We will be receiving 60% of any additional pledges or one time gifts that we receive.
We will receive a check every three months for 40% of what is collected in pledge payments and one time gifts during the three mont period.
As of August 24, we have raised $48,940 from Fr. Monroe and 198 other households toward our goal of $57,500 to fund the 25 agencies and ministries of education, charity and other pastoral services. This represents 85% of our goal.
.THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED.
